After successes against Brescia and Venezia, the “biancorossi” also won against Reggina and fly to the top of the general standings
Last Saturday was a day to remember for FC Südtirol. On the friendly ground of the Druso Stadium in Bolzano, the South Tyrolean team took home a very important victory against Filippo ‘Pippo’ Inzaghi’s Reggina, the team second in the standings behind the leader Frosinone. An entertaining match full of noteworthy moves seeing the team, led by coach Bisoli, to a triumph with a score of 2-1.
The match got unblocked in the 37th minute with a good understanding between Rover and Tait, which Odogwu materialised by scoring the first goal of the match. A few minutes later came the visiting team’s reply with Menez shooting a powerful right-footed shot that surprised Poluzzi. In the 40th minute, the match was decided: a corner kick taken by Casiraghi ended up precisely on the head of Odogwu who, ever more the protagonist and top scorer, signed his second double of the season on his 32nd birthday. It ended 2-1 to the home team.
Congratulations from all the Ci Gusta staff for this beautiful result that brings FC Südtirol to 4th place in the standings.
